FernMove runs residential property auctions in partnership with estate agencies. We supply the auction, the pack coordination and the buyer side; the agency keeps the relationship with the seller.
How we are set up
We take no direct instructions from sellers and we have no branches of our own. Every property on this site was introduced by a partner agency. That arrangement is deliberate — the agent knows the property and the local market, and we are not in competition with them for the instruction.
What we are responsible for
The auction platform, bidder identity and funding checks, coordination of the legal pack, and everything between the close of bidding and completion. Where something is the agent’s or the solicitor’s, we say so rather than absorbing it quietly and then being slow.
How we are paid
On the Modern Method of Auction the buyer’s reservation fee funds the auction, and the introducing agency takes a share of it. We are not paid by the seller in the ordinary case.
What we will tell you not to do
If a property is better suited to a private treaty sale, or a buyer’s funding does not fit the method, saying so early costs us a transaction and saves everyone a failed one. A high fall-through rate is not a business.
